Built for African music
Talent exists because the continent's music deserves a platform that treats it as the main event rather than a category.
Artist-first
Artists upload their own music, write their own bio and control their own catalogue. No gatekeeper decides who gets in.
African by design
Amapiano, Gqom, Afro House, Kwaito, Maskandi, Gospel. Genres that get an afterthought elsewhere are the point here.
A fairer split
Free listening is ad-supported today. Paid downloads and subscriptions are next, with a revenue split that respects the people making the music.
Where we are going
Talent starts in South Africa and grows outward across the continent. The first release is the web platform: upload, discovery, playback and the artist tools that make those worth using.
Next come paid downloads with a revenue split that favours the artist, a subscription tier that removes advertising, deeper analytics, and music video support. After that, native apps for iOS and Android with offline listening.
If you make music, the fastest way to help is to put it up. If you listen, follow the artists you like — follower counts are what get people booked.
